About
Out of the Mist Celtic Theatre
Origins. History. Rebirth.
Originally formed as ‘The Celtic Collaborative’ in 2011, the organization was founded by a group of local Minnesotans with a love for performing arts and Celtic cultures. In the ten years since its inception, The Celtic Collaborative has performed several self-written theatrical pieces, which have focused on telling the story of the Celtic people. The group has routinely performed at the Irish Fair of Minnesota, during Irish Arts Week in St. Paul, and during the Day of Irish Dance Celebration hosted by the Irish Arts Minnesota.

In addition to theatrical productions, the group has also published two books: “The Harp and The Loon, Literary Bridges Between Ireland and Minnesota,” and “Danny Who? 4 Decades in Irish music” by Tom Dahill.

In 2019 the organization updated its mission to be performance-arts focused; as a result, the name was changed to more directly align with the mission and goals of the organization. And so, Out of the Mist Celtic Theatre was born. Out of the Mist Celtic Theatre is devoted to creating engaging and thought-provoking theatre that illuminates the history and diversity of Celtic Culture through the lens of the greater human experience. We seek to create community through sharing stories that uplift, inspire and provide relevant insight on contemporary issues while celebrating our shared humanity.
